Politikernes reaksjon på Jehovas vitners domssystem – please note that the original is behind a paywall
Fædrelandsvennen (Norway), Friday, June 15, 2018 – page 36
“Fædrelandsvennen, June 8, 2018, had 4 stories from Jehovah’s Witnesses who were treated internally in the congregation.
“It is possible that this is of general interest, but when the politicians join together (Fædrelandsvennen, June 9, 2018) and have strong reactions to the ‘disclosure,’ then it must be responded too. Lene Vågslid (AP) reacts with disgust: ‘Such attempts to establish parallel legal structures must be combated with utmost seriousness,’ she says.
“For a long time there have been stories in the media about sexual harassment, sex with minors, abuse, abuse of power, etc. among politicians in both the AP, the Center Party and the Right.
“Where have these stories been treated? Yes, internally in the parties. The abuses have not been transmitted to the judicial system, but have been dealt with in the central government. We can not see that this is different from Jehovah’s Witnesses treatment of such things. One of the stories in Jehovah’s Witnesses is gross violence, but this case was dealt with in the judicial system.
“In the parties, politicians who have violated rules and laws are excluded and deprived of office. They also become socially isolated. Trond Giske (AP) regretted all the abuses, but he did not ‘regret’ enough. The comrades in the party would not have him at the summer party. Just like in Jehovah’s Witnesses. Lene Vågslid should go a little quiet in the doors.
“Petter Eide, Justice Spokesman in SV, will address this with the Minister of Justice. ‘Parallel legal systems as Jehovah’s Witnesses practice prevents individuals from being protected….’ Petter Eide should also include the political parties for practicing the same parallel legal systems.
“We are not members of Jehovah’s Witnesses and know little about the organization. But after reading the story in Fædrelandsvennen, we believe that Jehovah’s Witnesses have a more human internal ‘justice system’ than the political parties. There is little mercy.
